How does CaravanEasy prevent double bookings?

We poll your external iCal feeds every 3-5 minutes (much faster than the industry standard 60 minutes). When you take a direct booking, we hold the slot for 5 minutes during checkout. If an external booking overlaps, we immediately email both you and your guest with resolution options. Maximum risk window: just 10 minutes.

Which booking platforms does CaravanEasy sync with?

We support iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, UKCaravans4Hire, Expedia, Hotels.com, and any platform that provides an iCal feed. We import bookings every 3-5 minutes and export your direct bookings to a signed iCal URL you paste into each platform.

How does tourist levy calculation work?

CaravanEasy calculates tourist levies at checkout based on your caravan's location. We support percentage-based levies, per-person-per-night charges, and hybrid models with caps. Export monthly CSV reports for council remittance. We store a complete audit trail even if rules change later.

How do damage bonds work without charging guests twice?

We use Stripe pre-authorisation holds, not separate charges. When a guest books, we place a hold on their card (shows as "pending"). If no damage, click "Release bond" and the hold disappears immediately. If damage, capture full or partial amount from the hold. No refund delays, no double charges.

Can I use CaravanEasy without a website?

Absolutely. The Owner and Pro plans include calendar sync, automated messaging, bond management, and tax reporting even without a website. The booking widget is optional. If you get a website later, add the widget with one line of code.

What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

We'll never block your bookings. If you're on Free and exceed 12 bookings, we'll suggest upgrading to Owner (£15/month). If you add more caravans than your plan allows, we'll prompt you to upgrade. You're always in control.
